LASU Student Portal Payment Not Showing After Paying With ATM? How to Fix It [2026 Guide]

  • LASU Student Portal Payment Not Showing After Paying With ATM? How to Fix It

Trying to pay your school fees, acceptance fee, or GNS fee on LASU student portal and after paying with your ATM card, the portal still says "Payment Not Successful" or "No Payment Record Found"?

You are not alone. This is one of the most frustrating issues LASU students face, especially during school fees deadline when thousands of students are paying at once.

I have been helping LASU students resolve portal and payment issues on https://StudentPortals.com.ng for over 3 years now. Last semester alone, I assisted more than 40 students who were debited but their LASU portal was not showing payment. In almost all cases, the money was not lost - it was just a delay between the bank, Remita, and LASU portal.

For example, a 100 Level student from the Faculty of Education contacted me after she paid her school fees with her GTBank ATM card. She was debited but her portal still showed unpaid. She was already planning to borrow money to pay again. I told her not to pay again and guided her to use the Re-query button on her payment history page. Within 15 minutes, her payment reflected and she was able to print her receipt.

That is exactly what I will show you in this guide.

If you were debited but LASU student portal is not showing your payment after paying with ATM, do not pay again yet. Your money is safe. Follow the steps below and your payment will show without double payment.

Why is LASU Student Portal Payment Not Showing After Paying With ATM?

There are 4 main reasons why LASU student portal payment is not showing even though you have been debited:

1. Remita Has Not Confirmed Your Payment to LASU

LASU does not receive money directly. When you pay with ATM, your money goes to Remita (RRR). Remita is supposed to tell LASU portal that you have paid. If there is network delay, Remita will not confirm on time, so LASU portal will still show no payment.

2. You Closed the Page Before Getting RRR Success Page

After paying with ATM, you must wait for the page that says "Payment Successful" with your RRR number. If you closed your browser or your network went off before that page loaded, LASU portal will not capture the payment.

3. You Used a Bank Network That is Slow

Some banks like Opay, PalmPay, or some microfinance banks take 2-4 hours to confirm Remita payment. If you used GTB, First Bank, UBA, Wema, it confirms faster.

4. LASU Portal Server is Down Today

Sometimes LASU student portal [lasu.edu.ng] is overloaded especially during school fees deadline. When many students are paying at once, the portal will not show payment immediately. It will show later.

How to Know If Your Payment Was Actually Successful

Before you panic, check this:

Step 1: Check Your Bank Alert / Debit Message

Did you receive a debit alert of the exact amount? If yes, note the time and amount. Screenshot it.

Step 2: Check Your Email for RRR Receipt

Remita always sends a receipt to your email after successful ATM payment. Check your inbox and spam folder for email from remita@systemspecs.com.ng with your RRR number. If you see it, your payment was successful on Remita side.

Step 3: Check Remita Website Directly

Go to http://remita.net and click "Resend Receipt / Confirm Payment" and enter your RRR if you have it. If you don't have RRR, click "Check Payment Status with Order ID".

How to Fix LASU Student Portal Payment Not Showing After Paying With ATM [Step-by-Step]

Follow these 5 steps in order. Do not pay again until you try all.

Step 1: Wait for 30 Minutes to 2 Hours

This is very important. LASU portal is not instant like Opay. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to 2 hours for payment to reflect after ATM debit. Especially if you paid in the evening or weekend. Just log out and log in after 2 hours.

Step 2: Re-query Your Payment on LASU Portal

LASU portal has a re-query button that many students don't know about.

1.  Go to LASU Student Portal:

2.  Login with your Matric Number and Password

3.  Click on "Payment History" or "Check Payment Status"

4.  You will see your failed transaction with RRR

5.  Click on "Re-query" or "Check Status" or "Confirm Payment"

6.  Wait for 2 minutes and refresh the page

In 80% of cases, payment will show after re-query.

Step 3: Use Remita Retrieval Page to Get Your RRR

If you didn't get RRR number:

1.  Go to https://remita.net/

2.  Click on Resend Receipts or Invoices

3.  Enter the email or phone number you used on LASU portal

4.  Your RRR and receipt will be sent to your email

5.  Copy the RRR and go back to LASU portal and click "I have already paid with RRR" and paste the RRR

Step 4: Contact LASU ICT / Payment Support With Proof

If after 24 hours payment still not showing, you need to contact LASU ICT.

Go to LASU ICT at Ojo campus or send email to:

  • LASU ICT Email: ict@lasu.edu.ng
  • LASU Support: mailsupport@lasu.edu.ng
  • Go to: LASU ICT Center, Main Campus Ojo, Lagos with these documents:
  •    Your debit alert screenshot
  •    Your RRR receipt from Remita email
  •    Your Matric Number and Department

They will manually confirm your payment and update your portal. It takes 1 working day.

Step 5: Contact Your Bank for Reversal (If No RRR Generated)

If you were debited but you did NOT receive any RRR at all and Remita shows no record, it means your bank debited you but did not send money to Remita.

In this case:

  • Go to your bank and complain that your Remita payment failed
  • Your bank will reverse the money within 24 hours to 72 hours
  • Or wait, most banks auto-reverse within 24 hours if Remita payment fails

IMPORTANT: Never pay again with same ATM card immediately. Wait for reversal first or use another bank card.

What to Do So LASU Portal Payment Shows Next Time

1.  Always use GTB, First Bank, Access Bank, Wema, or Opay ATM card for LASU payment - they confirm fastest

2.  Pay in the morning between 8am - 11am when LASU portal is less crowded

3.  Do not use moniepoint or PalmPay ATM card for LASU portal - it delays

4.  After paying, wait for Success Page and screenshot your RRR immediately

5.  Use Chrome browser on laptop, not Opera Mini or phone browser that blocks pop-up

6.  Ensure you have strong network - don't pay with 2G network

JAMB Activates Change of Institution and Course Portal for 2026 Direct Entry Candidates | What You Need to Know

If there is one thing I have learnt from writing about admissions over the years, it is that many students lose admission opportunities because they miss important updates from JAMB. That is one of the reasons I closely monitor admission announcements so I can share verified information with students as early as possible. Today, I have another important update for candidates participating in the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission exercise . The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the Change of Institution and Change of Course portal for 2026 Direct Entry candidates. Why This Update Matters From my experience, many Direct Entry applicants initially select an institution or course during JAM...

The good news is that JAMB provides an SMS service that allows eligible candidates to accept their admission using their registered phone number. However, this method only works under certain conditions, and many candidates make mistakes that prevent the SMS from working. In this guide, Studentportals.com.ng explains how to accept admission using 55019 , who can use the service, common errors to avoid, and what to do after successfully accepting your admission. Can You Accept Admission Using 55019? Yes. JAMB allows candidates who have already been offered admission to accept their admission thr...
