I have been following updates from Federal Polytechnic Oko closely, and a recent fee notice shared by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) caught my attention because many prospective and returning students are already trying to work out how much they will need for the new academic session.


The notice lists the fees payable by ND I, HND I and returning ND II/HND II students, including tuition, acceptance fee, general service charges, departmental fees and SUG dues.


However, there is an important point I want students to understand before relying on any fee figure published online: the notice shown in the image is from the Students’ Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Oko, not a fee circular issued directly by the Polytechnic management. Students should therefore confirm their actual bills through the official school portal or the appropriate school office before making payment.

What Is Included in the Federal Polytechnic Oko Fees?

For new ND students, these include:

Non-science-based tuition: ₦67,000


For HND I:

Science-based tuition: ₦67,000

Non-science-based tuition: ₦62,000


This means prospective students should not assume that every department at Federal Polytechnic Oko has exactly the same tuition charge.


Federal Polytechnic Oko Acceptance Fee

The notice lists the acceptance fee for both ND I and HND I students as:

₦30,000


However, candidates should confirm the amount displayed on their official admission/payment portal before making payment.


Acceptance fee payments should be made through the Polytechnic's approved payment channel. Students should also keep their payment receipts and other evidence of payment.

As a former student of Federal Polytechnic Oko, I understand why students are eager to know the exact amount they need to prepare before resumption.
