General EBSU Cut Off Mark
The general EBSU cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is 150. However, competitive courses have higher requirements. Medicine and Surgery requires 250, Law 240, Nursing Science 230, Medical Laboratory Science 200, Mass Communication 180, and Computer Science 170. Candidates who meet the approved cut-off mark for their chosen course are eligible to participate in the admission process.
EBSU Faculty of Medicine Cut Off Marks
Medicine and Surgery is one of the toughest and most competitive courses in Nigeria. Many students want it, but only a few will get it.
At EBSU, the approved cut off mark for Medicine and Surgery is 250. That is very high. If you want to study Medicine and Surgery, you must prepare well and score high in JAMB.
For Anatomy, the approved score is 160.
For Physiology, the approved score is also 160.
This shows that courses under Medicine are not easy to get. You must work very hard to get a high score.
Faculty of Health Science and Technology
If you love health courses but do not want Medicine, there are other options too. EBSU has other medical-related courses that have different cut off marks.
Nursing Science is 230. This is another competitive course. Many students want it because nurses are in high demand in Nigeria and abroad.
Medical Laboratory Science has an approved score of 200. It is still high but not as high as Medicine or Nursing.
So, if you are choosing any health course, be ready to read and prepare well.
Faculty of Law
Law is another course that many students want. EBSU has fixed the approved cut off mark for Law at 200.
If you want to study Law, you must score at least 240 in JAMB. But my advice is this — aim for higher. Do not just stop at 240. Try to score 241 and above so you can have a better chance.
Faculty of Management Sciences
Management courses are also good and many students go for them. The approved cut off mark for Accountancy or Accounting is 160. This is good news for many students.
Other Management courses like Banking and Finance, Business Management, and Marketing have an approved minimum score of 150.
So, if you love Management courses, you can go for them. But do not relax just because the mark is low. Score higher so you stand out.
Faculty of Social Science and Humanities
Courses like Mass Communication, Political Science, and Economics fall under this faculty.
Mass Communication is one of the most popular courses in Social Sciences. Many students love it. The approved cut off mark for Mass Communication is 180.
Political Science has an approved score of 150.
Economics is also 150.
Other Social Sciences and Humanities courses like Sociology, Psychology, English, History, Religion, Philosophy, and Languages have an approved minimum score of 150.
This means there are many options. If your score is not enough for Mass Communication, you can pick another one that accepts 180.
Faculty of Science
Many students love science courses too. Computer Science is one of the most wanted science courses now because the world is going digital.
EBSU has fixed Computer Science cut off mark at 160.
Applied Microbiology has a score of 150.
Other Science courses like Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Physics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Geology, and others have an approved minimum score of 150.
Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management
This faculty is very important because Agriculture is needed in every country. EBSU has set the approved cut off mark for all Agriculture and Natural Resources courses at 150.
So, if you want to study courses like Agricultural Economics, Crop Production, Fisheries, Soil Science, or Animal Science, aim for at least 150.
Faculty of Education
Education courses are also important because teachers help build the future. The approved cut off mark for the Faculty of Education at EBSU is 150.
Courses like Guidance and Counselling, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, and others fall under this.
Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences
Engineering is a course many students dream of because engineers are needed everywhere. Environmental Sciences like Architecture and Urban Planning also fall here.
Chemical Engineering: 170
Civil Engineering: 160
Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 170
Environmental Sciences: 150
So, if you want to study Engineering, work towards at least 150 or 160 depending on your department.
